Planning
Forestry and wildlife management begins with careful planning. Once we understand your long-term goals, our experts will develop a set of custom land management recommendations for each forest stand and/or habitat management unit across the property.
Typical long-term plans include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Return on Investment from Timber
- Wildlife Habitat Improvement
- White-tailed deer
- Wild turkey
- Bobwhite quail
- Rabbit
- Non-game species
- Ecological Restoration & Enhancement
- Pine and Hardwood Systems
- Sustaining Ownership
- Maintaining and Enhancing Aesthetics
Implementation
Once the forestry and wildlife management plan is complete, it’s time to start implementation. Suggestions may include thinning well-established forest stands, prescribed burning, final harvesting in mature stands, establishing new forested areas, creating and managing native early-successional plant communities, designing food plots for wildlife, applying herbicides, and/or maintaining roads. In addition, we’ll work with you to create a practical timeline.
Our staff of well-qualified foresters and wildlife managers are here to help by administering timber sales and facilitating the implementation of other land management techniques on your property.
